[Mitgcm-support] problem of _RL

Dear Sir,

I am the beginning user of MITGCM, i have a basic problem, I saw there
are lots of code line start with "_"
such as "_RL ...", would you please tell me what is meaning of _RL? Is
it something used by Parallel procedure?
Could Compaq Visual Fortran support this kind of code?
