[MITgcm-devel] changes in compact2map.m matlab script

Hi Martin,

I made some substantial changes in the 2nd part of this script:
 utils/matlab/cs_grid/latloncap/compact2map.m
bacause I was not able to solve the following problem:
When I put NaN on the continent in my input field, the contrast 
between NaN and zero appears on the 4 copy of the polar face,
but the real field only appears on the 1rst. I was using 
simple imagesc and I have attached the 2 figures (obtained
with original and modified compact2map.m).

I also made it more general (with the 3 face dimension as an 
optional & additional argument) which could be useful in some cases,
+ added some comments.

But if you find that is was better before (and can see a better fix
to my problem above), we could revert to your method.
