[MITgcm-devel] SEAICE_RM_STRANGE_DIFF_FAC option

Hi Jean Michel,
Martin's comment is the one that refers to this term as "ugly" right?
May be I should have used "ugly" rather than "strange", but I did not think
very hard about the CPP name. I am happy to change that name if you want.
In fact my hack was just a way to do what the comment says (dating back to 2006)
we will do "one day". In particular, I wanted to be able to specify DIFF1 in standard
units of diffusion. Also I think the MIN( _dxF(I,J,bi,bj), _dyF(I,J,bi,bj)) breaks
conservation principles, because it is not averaged to velocity points. Am I wrong?
I understand your concern regarding the unit change, as I see that my hack adds to the
already tricky switch from advect & diffus to seaice_advection & seaice_diffusion.
I will swing by your office for advice on how to proceed.
Cheers,
Gael
