Hi Dimitris,

I think it's never called.
And this one is not the best example to follow:
we should have a separated "mypackage_diagnostics_state" to fill-in
state variable diagnostics only (like: PTRACERS_DIAGNOSTICS_STATE,
SEAICE_DIAGNOSTICS_STATE, THSICE_DIAGNOSTICS_STATE, LAND_DIAGNOSTICS_STATE)
and this would be called from do_statevars_diags.F
Regarding non state-variable diagnostics, the simplest thing is to
fill them when in the S/R where they are computed.

I propose that we write down on the "to-do list":
a) adding a state-variable in "mypackage"
b) adding a read/write pickup (it goes with a))
c) changing this MYPACKAGE_DIAGNOSTICS_FILL S/R to 
 MYPACKAGE_DIAGNOSTICS_STATE and fill the state-var diag in it.
