[MITgcm-devel] pickup for pkg/obcs

Dimitris,

The fact that we don't need obcs pickups to restart is 
known for quiet a while and the call to OBCS_READ_CHECKPOINT
in obcs_init_variables.F was commented out on Dec.15, 2003.  
The comments in obcs_init_variables.F are also relatively clear.
I also mentioned it again recently:

Could you just comment out the call to OBCS_WRITE_CHECKPOINT ?
so that when the orlanski restart will be fixed, we could add 
them back (both the read and the write).
