[MITgcm-devel] suggestion llc/cubed sphere

Hi there,

I have been trying desperately to write a matlab scripts that plots velocities in the same way that llc_pcol for cs_pcol plot 
skalars for the lat-lon-cap grid and the cubed sphere grid respectively. Now I realize that this is only possible, if I have the 
proper grid information: the angles between the grid and the lat-lon directions. I believe they are supposed to be in angleCS 
and angleSN (angleCosC and angleSinC in the code). Unfortunately they are not in the tile???.mitgrid by default. Maybe it 
is a good idea to alway have these angle in the code and the grid.t???.nc files. Or is there a simple way to compute them? 
Or is my entire effort to plot velocities on the cubed-sphere obsolete because there is matlab function that does this 
already?
