OK, updated pkg/seaice/growth.F is checked in.  The fix seems to also take care 
of a long-standing complaint by Armin that transition zone from ice to no-ice is 
very abrupt.  This transition is now a bit more gradual.

Yes that's right.  Martin hadn't checked it in and was waiting for your approval 
before doing this.  I have checked this fix in for him since
