Hi Marin,

OK, so some makedepend implementatons will fail if no "Makefile" is
present.  Annoying, but certainly not a show-stopper.

The above is a perfectly good solution.

Yes, and I've just checked in some logic for this case.  Please give it
a try and let me know whether it works or not since I can't access that
machine.
