[MITgcm-devel] requested MNC updates

It would be delightful if the following packages were able to write 
(and read) in the MNC format:
aim_v23
thsice (including pickups)

Also, the coupler (verification cpl_aim+ocn) writes its time average 
output in MNC, but would be great if it would also read and write 
pickups in MNC.  This is located in the package aim_compon_interf.

Finally, Ed, here is your reminder about having the model read the 
outputted pickups without any modification though the basename 
modification you suggested.
