[MITgcm-devel] names and diagnostics

Hi,

I've just checked-in some update to the development HOWTO notes
(in the packages part: "Chris's Notes") and added 
the pkgA_pkgB_something.F remark (not very well written, but 
feel free to improve it or to remove it).

Ed, I did not find what "packages.conf" file is doing. 
Is it explained elsewhere ?
Also, for the online version of the HOWTO notes, I did not get any 
obvious error when doing "make install", but it seems that only 
the multi-page HTML version has been updated.

And regarding the diagnostics of state variables and 
sampling in time, I think it needs to be changed, but
still need more time to think how to do it.
