OK, thats slightly inconvenient but then its not our fault that Sun's
makedepend is unusable for our purposes. ;-)

I think there are some other systems out there (old Alphas?) that rely
on xmakedepend. Since its not a priority, I'll work on the xmakedepend
bugs the next time we encounter one of those machines. And if we don't
use it for a year, then maybe its just time to remove it.
