[MITgcm-devel] new pkg/matrix checked in

Hi Ed and JMC:

I have checked in pkg/matrix, pkg_depend, and
verification/matrix_example.

Other changes:

To implement the pkg, I had to modify a few files in model/src,
model/inc, pkg/ptracers, and pkg/generic_advdiff. These modified
files, as per Ed's instructions, are placed in:
verification/matrix_example/code.

JMC: Ed said that you would go over these file to see if they meet your
exacting standards, and whether, once incorporated into the main tree,
they pass the test suite.

I don't, as yet, have a compact, fully functional example (the ones I have
are rather involved), so the rest of the directories in
verification/matrix_example are empty. But I should have something there
soon.
