Alistair, the actual blowup on day 523 occurs at one of the cube
corners, East of Argentina, not related with the peaks in CFL_w between
days 480-520, which were caused by interaction with bathymetry NorthEast
of Australia.  Figure showing wvel near each cube corner is attached.

So I have reduced viscA4 slightly, from 5e-3 to 4e-3, which seems
enough to get rid of cube-corner stability problem.

Any idea what the noise i wVel near the bottom is?   Could that
be related with bottom drag code?
