Hi Andrew,

We're already doing automated MPI testing with three compilers:

  http://mitgcm.org/testing.html

and all the testing scripts are checked into CVS at:

  http://dev.mitgcm.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/MITgcm_contrib/test_scripts/

And let me know if you'd like some help/explanations.
