Ed,
whenever I forget to delete the netcdf files that I wrote in a previous
run, I get something like this (with ifort)
> NetCDF ERROR: String match to name in use
> NetCDF ERROR: String match to name in use
> forrtl: severe (66): output statement overflows record, unit -5, file
> Internal Formatted Write

By now, I know what it means, but for the "uninitiated" user this may
be a little bit confusing, don't you think?
Possibly, I haven't found the switch that let's me overwrite old netcdf
files (if I don't want to have new directories for every run), but I
would think that either the netcdf files are overwritten by default
(as the *.data *.meta files), or there should be a more intuitive error
message. What do you think?

Martin
