[MITgcm-devel] switch to genmake2

Hi folks,

JMC and I spent a few hours working on the verification suite so that
most of the tests "pass" following the merge.  The attached file
("MITgcm-head.txt") was generated on Oct 4th (faulks with gcc 2.96)
using the then-current head of the CVS tree.  As you can see, after the
merge of "branch-genmake2" (shelley with gcc 3.2.2) we have introduced
only tiny differences in four packages:  

  aim.5l_cs, aim.5l_Equatorial_Channel, lab_sea, natl_box

and I'll continue testing on other platforms.

JMC and I found one very annoying error that took a while to track
down.  It was the (probably accidental) check-in of a new output.txt
file within global_ocean.90x40x15/results ("rev 1.7") :

So just a few small changes and the merge should be complete.
