[MITgcm-devel] RE: 2 exp. broken

With global_with_exf I've discovered the "barrier" in PACKAGES_CONFIG.h is
necessary (i.e. somewhere in exf a #define ALLOW_ is being changed!!!!). The
absence of a barrier is the only (inadvertent) difference comparing all the
little-f files between before and after the gm2 mods. I have a fix for the
gm2 but I'd like to figure out what/why the barrier comes in useful because
it shouldn't.

I think I'm getting the same results as Jean-Michel (please see below)
and am trying to understand why aim.5l_cs and global_with_exf fail.
