Dimitri/Andy,

 I have put the stuff we pulled together while Dimitri was here under the
CVS contrib area for now, see

 At least we won't lose it now! 
 I think everything we did is there but can you take a look and try it out
when you have a chance to make sure I didn't miss anything.
