[MITgcm-devel] ecco-branch merge

Hi there,
as discussed last week,
I'll try to merge the ecco-branch
into the MAIN branch.

Is it ok to start the merge now?
There won't be any commiting before
tomorrow (earliest). But once I start,
I may block the main branch for 2 days
or so.
