Chris, why have a single sea-ice model?  The model after all provides a
large number of advection, diffusion, time stepping, etc., options.  So
why a single sea-ice model?

What Jean Michel and I are aiming at instead is to formulate the
interface of the sea-ice models in a similar fashion so that they be
interchangeable.

Let's discuss this more on Wednesday.
