<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">I think you're right. I do have useRealFreshWaterFlux=.TRUE. and so the extra freshwater added by the surface salinity restoring is adding volume to the domain. I expect that ice shelf melting and sea ice melting/freezing
is also having an effect.</p>

Are you using useRealFreshWaterFlux=.TRUE., with some surface Fresh-Water flux <br>
that depends on the solution (e.g., with bulk-formulae) ?<br>
If this is the case the changes in SSH (eta) could be due to surface Fresh-Water <br>
imbalance (even though the OBC flow is balanced).<br>
