[MITgcm-support] Amplitude and phase preparation method for obcs tidal input

Dear MITgcm Support Team,
I am configuring the OBCS package to apply tidal forcing for a regional simulation. I would like to ask for your guidance on how to prepare OB_u/vTid Am/Ph Files. I am a new user, so I'm quite confused what the theory behind this. I use the data from TPXO. My questions are

Do we have to multiply amplitude file by node factor?

Do we have to take contribution from equilibrium argument into phase from TPXO or we can use just epoch (phase lag) obtained directly from TPXO?

also, how can we account for the real date to compare our results with tide gauge data? Can this be adjusted via the CAL package?
