Hello all,
While working on the core dump issue for the adjoint modelling (I posted in the previous e-mail via mailing list, thank you for the support),
I decided to try the same adjoint configurations on a different HPC (to check whether this is not a machine related issue)
and turns out the DEFINES='... -DNML_TERMINATOR' (in genmake2 optfile) is not working properly.
DEFINES='... -DNML_TERMINATOR' is included in the opt file and the model runs fine with the forward mode
(see & replaced to /) but it stopped working when compiling and running with an adjoint mode (compilation it self works and TAF
produce mitgcmuv_ad but & is NOT replaced to /, even in the forward part of the run). This might be more of a topic I should talk to the
IT support for the HPC I am using but just wanted to ask if this can happen or anyone had a similar experience.
I am using the same optfile for both forward and adjoint compilation and simulations.
Best regards,
Yohei
