Dear all:
I am trying to simulate internal waves. I found some problem and i do not known how to solve it.
The problems are as follow:
(1) When i use Tpxo to force ITs at the boundary using obcs_add_tides.F, i first found that the speeds
normal to the boundary at E/N are the same as those at W/S. I realise that this is due to the periodicity
of domain. So i set the outmost area of domain to have depth 0 to supress periodicity.
However, from the papers i read and several configurations (from others),
i found they all use open boundary. So, even the result of my configuration looks fine, i'm still wandering if i am doing the right things.

(2) In the run i described above, i didn't add sponge layer. Once i added it, i found strange u,v and Eta value near the boundary.
 The configuration of sponge are as follow:
 spongeThickness=10,
 Vrelaxobcsinner=8888.8,
 Vrelaxobcsbound=88.888,
 Urelaxobcsinner=8888.8,
 Urelaxobcsbound=88.888,
 I modify the Sponge.F to output the value of the tendency array (gU_arr), the value looks fine.
 So what might caused the problem? How can i solve it?
Best regards,
Rj
