[MITgcm-support] Regarding time of data to be forced as input to the model

Dear Users,

I am trying to force daily flux data from the ERA5 dataset for my
simulations. My two specific
queries are as follows:

1. Incase of 2m air temperature, what would be better; daily mean or real
time data at 00 UTC
considering my simulation begins at 00 UTC everyday.

2. Incase of precipitation, the model requires it in 'm/s'. What would be
more accurate;
(daily accumulated precipitation) / 86400sec
or
hourly accumulated precipitation (00 UTC) / 3600sec.
