[MITgcm-support] Fwd: Problem with a lee wave configuration lw2d

Dear all,

I am struggling with the results of one 2D configuration on the MITgcm to
generate lee waves consisting of a bottom sinusoidal topography with a
sponge layer at the surface level where all the quantities are forced to a
constant zonal velocity (lee wave forcing). It seems like inertial waves
are formed when a simple lee wave forcing has been written in
externalforcing.F. Did someone has a similar problem when running that kind
of configuration ?

You will find the configuration as well as a plot of the time series in a
point out of the sponge layer (in the active domain) where inertial
oscillations appear.

Best regards,

Kevin
