Hi Christoph,
If = you=E2=80=99re switching to Python, I think the xmitgcm package (https://github.com/MITgcm/xm= itgcm) along with xgcm (https://github.com/xgcm/xgcm) would provide a simpler and more co= mprehensive toolkit for using Python to analyze your outputs.
The best way to install these packages is probably via conda.

Best,

Dear = all,
I am trying to switch my python plotting = routines for MITgcm output to python3, and in doing so I had to install the= MITgcm python utilities anew; since I use ipython, I have tried doing that= through ipython, with
sudo ipython3 setup.py<= br class=3D"">
(which worked if I remember correctly for ipyt= hon (with python version2). But now I am getting a large number of error me= ssages, that I don't really understand. Has anyone experiences something si= milar and found a fix?
Cheers, Christoph
