Dear Sir/Madam,
I’m Yanhong Lai, a student in Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Peking University, Beijing, China. I met a problem when using MITgcm and perhaps you can help me with that.
I’m using the case ‘verification/ideal_2D_oce’ of MITgcm, and I tried to restart the simulations using pickup files, but the restart simulations always failed. The error displayed in slurm-xxx.out is like below:
forrtl: severe (36): attempt to access non-existent record, unit 9, file /home/MITgcm-master/verification/twod_5km_0516/run_ave/pickup_cd.0003600000.001.002.data

This case ‘ideal_2D_oce’ uses cd_code package (cd_code included in code/packages.conf), and the simulations also output pickup_cd files in the same frequency of pickup files at the same time, but the system always said there is no pickup_cd files. I don’t know what to do to solve this problem, perhaps you know that, could you help me with this problem?
Anyway, Thank you very much!
Sincerely yours,
Yanhong Lai
