[MITgcm-support] Sub-1s Timestep with EXF

I'm looking to apply EXF-based forcing to simulations which are small
enough/ high enough resolution to require a timestep smaller than 1s. My
understanding is that, by default, this isn't possible due to EXF's
dependency on the CAL package. Has anyone implemented changes to EXF/CAL to
remove this problem, or would you know of what, roughly, would be entailed
to modify one or both of these packages to support a <1s timestep?
