[MITgcm-support] gradients/increments in double precision?

Is there an easy way to switch the ecco_cost and ecco_ctrl files to use
double precision?  The ctrl_set_pack files are surprisingly complicated,
but it might be as easy as declaring the cbuff arrays as real*8 instead of
real*4?
