[MITgcm-support] Local averages of variables

Hi all,

          I need to compute the horizontal average of fields within specified X and Y limits during the simulation (not offline). Are there built-in routines that can accomplish this, given the following inputs:  a field, imin and imax (X limits), jmin and jmax (Y limits)?
