[MITgcm-support] Issue setting up GCM

As far as I know, you cannot run MITgcm directly on MS windows.
You would need to use a “Unix-llike” environment, e.g., Cygwin.
Better yet, install Linux on a virtual machine, e.g., VirtualBox.
If you want to give this last option a try, I can send you my set-up notes.
