[MITgcm-support] creating grids for curvilinear orthogonal coordinates

If helpful, I can make available grid information for the grids used in following papers on an ftp server:

They are grid configurations derived from a global cubed-sphere set-up with,
respectively, 36, 18, 9, and 4.5-km nominal horizontal grid spacing.
