[MITgcm-support] vertical flux of tracer

Hi all,

I wonder how the vertical and horizontal fluxes of any tracers are handled
in MITgcm.

The u,v and w velocities are located at cell interfaces while, the tracers
are at cell centre. How does this half a cell backward or forward shifting
is applied to either tracers or velocities to calculate the fluxes
correctly ?
