[MITgcm-support] problem with mnc_assembly.m and matlab 2015a

hi everyone,

i've been having trouble combining .nc files into global fields using
mnc_assembly.m
here's the error message:

Undefined function or variable 'netcdf'.
Error in mnc_assembly (line 91)
  fnc = netcdf(fnm, 'nowrite');

this seems like an issue that has come up in the past, and some of you have
modified mnc_assembly.m to work with the newer matlab netcdf api. so,
before i dive into the guts of the code myself, i was wondering if anyone
may be willing to share their work-around for this.
