[MITgcm-support] ABNORMAL END: S/R CALC_R_STAR errror

Is there any way to get the ABNORMAL END: S/R CALC_R_STAR error besides too large of a time step? The last advcfl I got before crashing was 0.04 so a time step problem seems unlikely. Any other things to check for?
