Yun, it would be great if you can take care of removing the
ALLOW_SUBGLACIAL_RUNOFF flag.

Also, could you add one of your 3D example configurations from
http://ecco2.org/manuscripts/2013/Xu2013.pdf
to MITgcm_contrib/icefront/3D_example

Dimitris is right. We stop using ALLOW_SUBGLACIAL_RUNOFF and replace it with pkg/obcs. We first dig a hole under the ice using shelfice pkg, and allow fresh cold water to inject into the ocean by setting boundary T,S,V with obcs pkg. MITgcm_contrib/icefront/2D_example is an example of this method.

Dimitris, shall we remove ALLOW_SUBGLACIAL_RUNOFF part of code to avoid confusion? I can do it from UCI machine.
