you can modify the experiment in any way you like (o: Haft the vertical layers with probably cut the run time in half, but your vertical resolution will be much poorer. If that does not matter …

Using different deltaTtracer .ne. deltaTmom (and deltaTclock = deltaTtracer and deltaTfreeSurf=deltaTtracer) turns on the "tracer acceleration". See the appropriate literature for the benefits and consequences (e.g. Bryan, 1970, Danabasoglu, 2004?). Examples are in verification/global_ocean.90x40, and many others.
