I'm using a cube-face layout with diagnostics and am getting this error. Also, thanks to those who suggested setting mcmodel to deal with a large memory tiles, that fixed my previous problem. After running, I got this error:

In STDERR:

(PID.TID 0000.0001) ** WARNING ** SEAICE_READPARMS: will use AdvScheme = 2 for HEFF without any diffusion
(PID.TID 0000.0001) ** WARNING ** SEAICE_READPARMS: will use AdvScheme = 2 for AREA without any diffusion
(PID.TID 0000.0001) ** WARNING ** SEAICE_READPARMS: will use AdvScheme = 2 for HSNOW without any diffusion
(PID.TID 0000.0001) ** WARNING ** SEAICE_READPARMS: will use AdvScheme = 2 for HSALT without any diffusion
(PID.TID 0000.0001) ** WARNING ** SEAICE_READPARMS: since DIFF1 is set to 0 (= new DIFF1 default value)

only warnings but still crashed. During runtime it ended with

forrtl: severe (36): attempt to access non-existent record, unit 9, file /usr/data/nppatel/MITgcm_c64g/verification/cube_test/input/tile001.mitgrid

but there is a file called tile001.mitgrid in the directory. Anyone know what this might mean?

Thanks,

Neil
