Hi all,

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher in physical oceanography, 
please see the following.

The Geophysical Institute at the University of Bergen invites 
applications for a 2-year post-doctoral research position in physical 
oceanography, under the "Faroe Bank Channel Overflow: Dynamics and 
Mixing" project. The successful candidate will work with the numerical 
modelling of idealized processes of buoyancy driven flows and their 
parameterization into the ocean component of Norwegian Earth System Model.

Applicants must have achieved a Ph.D. or equivalent education in 
physical oceanography, fluid dynamics, physics, applied mathematics or 
related disciplines, or have presented the dissertation for assessment 
by the closing date for the application. An ideal candidate will have 
knowledge and experience in numerical modelling and model development, 
parallel computing and data analysis in high performance computing 
environments, knowledge and understanding of physical oceanography, the 
theory of turbulence and mixing and entrainment processes, and a good 
and relevant publication record.
