[MITgcm-support] Problem with Offline Simulations

Hello,

I want to do some tracer advection simulations using enforced velocity fields in the offline mode. I am using the offline option. 

I am running into a problem, that the model is not picking up the velocity fields that I want to impose. I have specified the option for 'offline' in packages.conf. I have also made the data.off file. But when I run the executable mitgcmuv, it does not even touch the data.off and hence does not look at the imposed velocity fields. Is there any other place, where I need to specify the offline option? The model run does not produce any errors, it just gives out put of zero for all fields.
