[MITgcm-support] Very weak surface current

Dear MITgcm users,
I am forcing a lake with wind, short and long wave radiation, air
temperature. I using KPP and Smagorinkky scheme with viscC2Smag =2.2.

The surface current is about 5 times weaker than the current at 10m
depth.

Does anyone experienced this before? What can be the cause?

Thanks.
