[MITgcm-support] upgrade to latest checkpoint

Hmmm, the code now writes as the MDS files as:

outputdir/0000/V.00000001200.001.001.meta
outputdir/0000/V.00000001200.001.001.data

outputdir/0001/V.00000001200.001.002.meta
outputdir/0001/V.00000001200.001.002.data

i.e where 0000, 0001, etc are directories containing the output from
each processor used to make the run (which also is the output of each
tile in my setup). It used to put these all in one directory, and
rdmds seems to handle that fine. Probably the easiest thing would be
if there is a way to stop the new behaviour.

If that is the file structure you have then I'm a little confused how
to call the function. Normally I'd just do

   V = rdmds('outputdir/V',1200);

and that would return all tiles. I can do

   V=rdmds('outputdir/0001/V',1200);

but that just returns the second tile.

Thanks,  Jody
