[MITgcm-support] ptracer cost

Hi Suneet,

correct, it's just a simple prototype example,
which has some relevant pointers on how it's implemented.
For more general cases, e.g. time-dependent tracer computation
and squared model vs. data misfits you would have to expand the  
existing.
We may have some prototype code for that lying around here somewhere,
but I'm not sure how far this is.
