Hi Suneet,

one more thing:
I should point out that Matthew Mazloff has produced
a 1/6 degree Southern Ocean state estimate (SOSE) within the
ECCO-GODAE and ECCO2 project, see
http://www.mit.edu/~mmazloff/SOSE.html

In addition to his own research, these estimates are
meant to serve the community and are being made publicly available.
Depending on what you'd like to do, I encourage you to
get in touch with him regarding output.
This may save you some time (unless you insist of
producing you own estimates, or want to do assimilation experiments).
