[MITgcm-support] Direct 2D elliptic solver

Hi modelers,

I've been interested in implementing a direct solver for the 2D  
elliptic problem in MITgcm's hydrostatic mode. Ralf Giering  
implemented a direct solver a number of years ago, but it was never  
integrated into the main MITgcm code. Ralf doesn't have access to his  
original code anymore and thinks Chris Hill might have it, but I  
haven't been able to get ahold of Chris Hill. Does anyone else have  
access to this code (or have access to Chris Hill to see if he indeed  
has the code)?
