[MITgcm-support] effective viscosity

Hello,

In the model we prescribe some viscosity coefficients. But as we want to 
compute some length scales depending on the viscosity (in particular, in 
the case of internal tides generated over a continental slope, the 
thickness of an oscillating boundary layer), we want to know about the 
effective viscosity in the model.
Do you know how we can manage to compute it?

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
