Hi, I noticed there was a previous discussion about problems of
restarting from mnc pickups but the resolution was not posted on the
list.
I also have this problem.

I copy all the pickup files into the same directory as mitgcmuv, of form
  pickup.0000200000.t001.nc
  pickup.0000200000.t002.nc
  ...
  pickup.0000200000.t016.nc
but get the following error message in an the output file
> ABNORMAL END: S/R MNC_CW_RL_W

and the following message in STDERR.0000:
> (PID.TID 0000.0001) *** ERROR *** MNC_CW_RL_R: per-face reads are not
> yet implemented -- so pester Ed to finish them

Is there a fix I can employ to bypass this problem until Ed gets the
chance to finish this routine?

I am using a fresh version of MITgcm (cvs co MITgcm)
Many thanks,

Jeff Polton
