Hi Constantinos, Thanks for the explanation. It is all clear now. The command "size" is extremely useful. Didn't know about that! The ia64 platform here has 8Gb of RAM, which is well above the 5 GB requested by the 512x512x32 code (as reported by "size"), which explains it runs there. Cheers, Lucas
