Goran, following directory:
http://mitgcm.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/MITgcm_contrib/quarter_degree_global/
contains complete examples of quasi-global (80S-80N), spherical-polar 
integrations at 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 degree horizontal grid spacing.
In particular, file "data_NCEP_16" in subdirectory "input" is a working 
example data file for the 1/16 degree integration, which should be a 
good starting point for your 1/10 degree setup.
